Daycare Teacher

Full Job Description
At TenderLoving Child Care, we’re looking for teachers who want to help young minds discover, explore, and understand all their surroundings. We’re seeking a knowledgeable and eager teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. We offer year-round programs for children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

Teacher Main Responsibilities:

Continuous supervision and daily class functions of a group of children providing a calming and welcoming atmosphere.

Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.

Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule

Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
Desired Skills and Experience:
-
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.

Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.

CPR certified or willing to obtain.

Food safe certified or willing to obtain.

Must have reliable transportation.

1+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications
-
High school or equivalent (Required). Some College (Preferred).
Experience:

Childcare: 1 year (Preferred).
